Card not opening?

Hold the top edge of the phone flat against the card for about a second. That is usually all it takes.

1. 01Unlock the phone firstiPhones read NFC straight from the lock screen. Most Android phones need to be unlocked.
2. 02Check NFC is on (Android)Settings › Connections, or Connected devices, depending on the make. iPhones have it on always.
3. 03Aim for the top of the phoneThe antenna sits near the top on iPhone and around the middle on many Android phones. Thick cases and metal plates block it.
4. 04Try another phoneVery old phones have no NFC at all. If a second phone works, the card is fine.
